I am starting to think that having the dog sleep in the kitchen is better advice than having the dog sleep in the bedroom -- as we were advised. Iamstartingtothinkthathavingthedogsleepinthekitchenisbetteradvicethanhavingthedogsleepinthebedroom--aswewereadvised.Weloveourboyandlovethatheiswithusatnight,butIamsufferingfromsleepdeprivationcoshewakesmeupwhenhemovesaround.Hehasthreespotsinourbedroomthathealternatesbetweenthroughoutthenight:inhisbed(abig,comfybedwithpaddedfabricsidesthathesnugglesupto),nexttothebalconydoorthathasacoolbreezethatcomesthroughthecracks,andnexttomysideofthebedwherehelikestoresthisheadonadownpillowthatIdroponthefloor.Ifitishotinthebedroom,hewillstandatmysideofthebeduntilIwakeup,orifIdon'twakeup,hewillwhinesoftlyuntilIdo,andthenIknowtoopenthebalconydoortolethimouttocooldown.Ifit'stoochilly,Iclosethedoorandwaitforhimtoletmeknowtolethimin(asinglebarkifI'vefallenasleep). Atthedogparkawomantoldmeherspanielsleepsagainsttheheadboardtheentirenight,doesnotmoveuntilshegetsup.Anotherwomantoldmethatherstaffiesleepsundertheduvettheentirenightwithher.TheclosestSnowiecomestosleepingnexttomeiswhenhecrashesdownnexttothebed(andyes,itisacrash,bumpsthebedandcanwakemeup),oneofhissleepingspotsduringthenight.
