Samplingapproach:Themeasurementwillconsistof6weeklydatacollectionsof25patientseach.Thepatientscanbesampledinseveralways:5patientsperdayfor5daysoftheweek.Thepatientsmustbeconsecutiveandatleastonedaymustbeaweekendday. or25consecutivepatientsregardlessofanyspecificday,exceptthatitmustincludesomeweekendadmissions. orIftherearefewerthan25admissionsforaweek,thetotaladmissionsfortheweekshouldbeincludedinthesample.Thetimeismeasuredfromthedecisiontoadmittothephysicalappearanceofthepatientintotheinpatientroom.Thedestinationcannotbea"holdingarea"butmustbea"realinpatientbed."Thesamplecollectionshouldbedoneinrealtime,soadatacollectionprocessneedstobeworkedoutbymembersoftheteamtoachievethisgoal.Thecollectionsmustbedoneweeklyandsummarizedasthepercentageofpatientsinthesamplethatachievedthegoalforthatweek.Sixweeksofdataneedstobecollectedandsixdatapointsplacedonarunchart.
